Our staff members have various personal and professional experiences like volunteering at rescues, working in the veterinary field or grooming facilities. After an in-depth interview, the sitter candidate is background checked. The sitter then becomes a trainee and shadows an experienced sitter to learn the app we use (Time to Pet) to see pets’ profiles, update clients, and also the steps we follow during each visit.
The new hires are trained in Pet First Aid/CPR via a Pet Tech class or online. The 4 hour hands-on Pet Tech CPR & First Aid training teaches skills such as CPR, rescue breathing, choking management, muzzling, bleeding management, insect bites and stings, and handling cold and heat injuries.
Staff members expand their canine & feline knowledge by participating in e-learning with PET SIT PRO & FetchFind.com. We complete lessons through the use of videos, reading and quizzes. Topics include canine body language, aggression, safe handling and more!
After careful follow-up with the senior sitter, the new sitter can be promoted from trainee to staff member.
A complimentary consultation will be scheduled at your residence to give us the opportunity to meet you and your pets and complete all necessary paperwork BEFORE pet sitting service can begin.

We will explain the services in detail, answer any questions and confirm pet care dates and times. We want you to feel comfortable with the process and professional service.
Please have two (2) keys available when we arrive for our consultation and please test them to make sure they work.
It is our policy to keep your keys on file in a secure keybox safe for future visits. If you prefer to have your key returned, understand a $10.00 pick-up fee for future services will be incurred. We will not leave keys in a hiding spot or in your house on our last visit in case you are delayed and a last minute visit is necessary. If we are not issued a key, we can't care for your pets.
If you provide us with a garage code, we can use that as a primary entry location, but a key must be provided as backup. Garage key pads are temperamental in cold temperatures and possible power outages render them useless.
Keys are labeled with the pet’s name only. Keys are logged to the sitter assigned so we can keep track of their location.
Our sitters can visit up to 4 times per day. Cats are visited at least once daily, while most dogs are usually 3 times daily.
- Our Breakfast time slot is between 8-9:30am
- Our Midday time slot is between 11-2:30pm
- Our Dinner time slot is between 3-5pm
- Our Bedtime time slot is between 8-10pm
Visits are normally 30 minutes in length. 45 min and 60 min visits are also available at an additional charge.
No more than 12 hours goes in between visits. For instance, if your dog was visited at 8pm for Bedtime, the sitter would arrive no later than 8am for the Breakfast visit the next morning.
We have a staff of excellent professionals who would love to care for your pets. Depending on when the request would come in, we could have the alternate sitter shadow the primary sitter at a visit to become familiar with the pets and home. If a client would like to meet the alternate sitter ahead of time, we can arrange that too, if time permits. Owner, Rochelle Beckel, can go to the first visit with the alternate for shadowing purposes if needed.
For our midday dog walking clients, we normally have a primary walker and an alternate who is familiar with the dog. Then if the primary walker has an emergency or is on vacation, a second walker already familiar with the dog can step in.
A dishonesty bond gives you peace of mind that you will be reimbursed if anything is stolen from your home. Anyone that has workers enter their home should be sure that they have a dishonesty bond.
We also carry liability insurance that protects from financial loss in the event that we were liable for accidents that occur while caring for our clients’ pets.
Pawsitive Purfection Pet Sitting & Services, LLC is insured & bonded through (PSA) Pet Sitter Associates, LLC. For added protection, we expanded our coverage to include the optional broadened property damage coverage & bond.
Clients are expected to pay in full by the first day of scheduled visits.
- We accept credit cards and Zelle. Send Zelle to Rochelle Beckel 484-201-9590.
Daily Dog Walking Clients:
We ask that you cancel no later than 9am the day of the visit or else you will be charged for that visit.
Vacation Pet Sitting Clients:
We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel. The fee paid will be put on your account for a future visit.
We greatly appreciate advance notice of a cancellation so we can make the time to provide superior service to other clients in the area.
First, we will call the client (you). If it is something minor we can handle with first aid, we will. We will notate that in our visit update that you receive via email. If it is something that needs immediate attention, and we can’t get a hold of you, we will call your emergency contact. We will then decide if the pet needs to be seen at the vet and transport. You will be billed for any extra time we spend and for the office visit/treatment.
We will attempt to administer oral medication or topical creams only.
Pawsitive Purfection Pet Sitting & Services, LLC requires that you text, call, email or use the client portal to notify us when you return home to avoid any unnecessary visits. It is our policy to continue with visits until we hear from you.
If your dog prefers a different activity rather than walking, we can customize a solution to meet the needs of your pet and family.
If the dog has aggressively bit someone in the past, then we can not provide service due to the liability issues and to ensure the safety of our sitter. If the dog growls and is unsure of new people, that is something we can work on with you. We can schedule some visits with the sitter where you are home and work up to you not being there. Sometimes we are asked to do weekly visits to feed/walk so the dog can become comfortable (and so can their Mom and Dad)! Then when the family leaves for a multi-day trip, the dog is relaxed with his sitter.
